SWIM

Tuition & Cohort Dates

SWIM is a practitioner certification. Tuition covers training in the full method, scenario work built from real fieldwork, and assessment against a published rubric, scored by faculty at every gate.

Every cohort, online and in person, is capped at twenty candidates, so each one trains under individual faculty attention, and seats are allocated by application across the cohorts that run through the year.

One credential. Two ways to train for it.

Online Cohort

$2,750

Cohorts of twenty run through the year, with lessons and drills delivered asynchronously and built around a working leader's calendar, so you set the pace within the cohort's arc. Gate reviews run live by video with SWIM faculty: your assessment work, scored against the rubric, discussed one-on-one. A cap of twenty candidates per cohort means your faculty know your work by name.

In-Person Intensive

starting at $4,200

The in-person intensive is a 4.5-day immersive cohort, held twice a year, with twenty seats per session. Faculty drill the full method in the room, covering scenario work, gate assessment, and direct coaching through the hardest parts of the discipline. The seat count is the design, so every candidate works directly with the faculty for the duration.

Both formats train the same seven competencies and confer the same credential.

SHRM Recertification Provider

Online cohorts run throughout the year, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

The credential is priced against what it changes. The capability it certifies is the one boards and executive search have begun selecting for in the most senior people roles — and the distance between the HR leader who runs programs and the one who can diagnose an organization is measured in titles, not in tuition. Most candidates certify on employer development budgets.

The ones who fund it themselves tend to treat it the way it is priced: as a position, not a purchase.

04/Employer sponsorship

Will your employer sponsor you?

Most candidates certify on an employer development budget. If your organization funds professional development, this is the request that qualifies, and we have made it easy to start.

Scholarships

The list price does not move. What exists instead: HR leaders serving nonprofit organizations are eligible for a $500 reduction, and scholarships up to full tuition are awarded by named justification — a written case, considered with the application. Note either on your application.

05/After certification

The credential stays with you

For In-House HR Leaders: Maintains your certified standing against the published standard and keeps your credential live in the public verification registry. It belongs to you, and it moves with you when you change employers.
